Are these good ideas?

Paying the deductible before you can schedule medical appointments to ensure you attend.   Having credit cards that stop working when you reach a pre-set budget per category to keep you from over spending.   Allowing restaurant servers to not serve you additional food once you passed your meal calorie count.   Having the car onboard system like Onstar call a parent when teenager is driving above speed limit or erratically. I have been reading Predictably Irrational, a book about the hidden forces that shape our decisions. This book is research based and explains that our misguided behaviors are not random, they are irrational and predictable.   Basically these questions above are intended to elicit your thoughts about pre-commitment strategies.  Based on the author’s research, we have the best chance of reaching our goals if we have dictated deadlines that are reinforced by someone else.  We are predictable in our demonstration of poor self-control. Do YOU and have more FUN

Do you and have more Fun! How often do you stop yourself from being silly, goofy or just plain cray cray? Why is it that only children are allowed to have fun? I declared August my month of fun.  I went on a spontaneous girls trip to Jamaica where we had many laughs and adventures in spite of not having our luggage for most of the trip. (It was lost with the airlines.)  We were able to just enjoy each other and explore the island.  Why do we put off fun? Then,  I traveled with family to Puerto Vallarta.  We have an annual family trip to reconnect and spend time together. We enjoyed relaxing in the warm water.  Two very different trips but both were exactly what I enjoy doing with my time away from working. What do you do for fun? What keeps you sane and wanting to do it over and over again? If you don’t know, reach out to me and we can uncover it together.  I share a quote in the video that reminds me that it’s okay to do what you enjoy and so what if other people have criticism.  Just Do YOU! It’s a struggle trying to make life changes. You don’t have to do it...

Productivity Tips from a Top Female Life Coach

As a top female life coach I know this – each morning we start off encouraged and motivated to get more done.  We generate lists and have the best of intentions.  Then by mid-day you start feeling discouraged with the amount of progress you have made.  This system of ebb and flow up and down is pervasive.I often work with entrepreneurs who are discourage with their amount of productivity each day resulting in slow growth of their businesses and very slow progress toward their goals.  One new business owner client I am working with, sent me his to do list by email.  It was pages and pages long.  So incredibly overwhelming and discouraging. How on earth will he be able to accomplish all of these tasks on his to do list?  He contacted me to help him stay accountable to his goals.  Our first step was to review his process and create a few (3) important emotionally connected items on his to do list that he can easily accomplish in a few days.  This initial success will start the momentum to increase motivation to continue to push past barriers. The few things we have implemented have helped him to feel successful already.  The next steps will include looking to create systems, policies and procedures to help him reach his goals faster.  This time with him inspired me to research my archives and other mentors strategies to create a top ten ways to increase...

How to get more done using buckets

I recently started working with a client who had an extremely large to-do list. During our first meeting we cut down his list to increase his productivity. The first thing he implemented was deciding what is his priority, and with the rest of the tasks on his list he can either delegate or save for another time. This video shares one of many ways to improve your to-do list process and become more productive. It’s a struggle trying to make life changes. Especially, when you are trying feel productive and notice things getting...
